Our Mission: Compassionate, quality legal assistance for all immigrants and refugees
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Looking back at 2023, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our immigrant neighbors. Thanks to your support, we have provided legal services to hundreds of vulnerable immigrants and refugees who can now look forward to a brighter future.
Even with so much to celebrate, our joy is mixed with heartbreak. We enter our eighth year as an organization at a time of unspeakable devastation, and we cannot look away. The same values that guide AIN’s work each day call us to decry the Palestinian genocide that is happening in front of our eyes. Immigrants and refugees know all too well the trauma of violence and dispossession. We recognize the threads that link our work with movements for justice and healing happening around the world. We are alarmed by the rise of Islamophobia and anti-semitism and attempts to fearmonger about the southern U.S. border. Our mission has always compelled us to resist detention and deportation, and advocate for the dignity of our clients. We speak now because that mission demands that we stand for humanity, compassion, and the liberation of oppressed peoples.
We will continue our work in 2024 with renewed passion. Without a doubt, none of this work would be possible without you. Thank you for every hour volunteered, kind message sent, prayer lifted, and gift donated. We are so grateful to be in this together.
